Haunt Blackcraft is now open and can be accessed by entering Blackcraft Salem at 253 Essex St. Salem, MA 01970. Sorry no public parking or restrooms are available.
Currently the haunt is operating out of season as a walkthrough experience- photography is allowed. Same day walkthrough tickets are purchased inside of Blackcraft Salem for $10.
Haunt Blackcraft will return with full performance scare actors starting in September 2024. Pre-sale tickets are available for purchase- act fast! No, out of season there are no live actors.
However, the full haunt experience with scare actors will begin in September 2024.
Same day haunt walkthrough tickets can be purchased inside of the Blackcraft Salem storefront located on 253 Essex Street in downtown Salem Massachusetts.
While the Haunt operates out of season as a walkthrough experience you are allowed to take photos and videos- it's one of the perks of coming out of season!
Once the Haunt opens with scare actors in season, you are not permitted to take any photos or videos.

Haunt Blackcraft 2024 w/ actors FAQ's
Tickets are currently on pre-sale for the full 2024 Haunt season. Don't wait these will sell out!
The full season will run every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday starting Friday September 27th and end Sunday November 3rd.
In addition, we will add hours the week of Halloween Tuesday 10/29-Thursday 10/31.
Select weekends (Saturday & Sunday) in September before 9/27, the Haunt will operate with scare actors.
If you are planning to visit Salem during October on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday- the haunt will still be open for an immersive walkthrough experience, without actors. This is the same experience we offer out of season, and our guests love it! Tickets for these walkthrough only days will be available for purchase inside of Blackcraft Salem and available same day on a first come first serve basis.
Yes we will however the pre-sale tickets with confirmed timeslots will have priority in line. This could potentially mean longer wait times for same day tickets.
Please note same day tickets will not have guaranteed availability.
Upon arrival, your ticket's noted time serves as your check-in time, allowing for approximately 30 minutes to complete the check-in process and prepare for the haunting experience ahead. Please be aware that this time does not guarantee immediate entry into the haunt. Please be prompt with check-in. We cannot guarantee admission for guests who do not check-in within 10 minutes of their designated time.
Tickets are non-refundable and cannot be transferred to another date or time slot, so make sure to choose your visit wisely.
We recommend children aged 13 and up. However, this is at the parents' discretion. Please note the Haunt is very theatrical in nature and was not designed to be suited for children. All minors will need to have a guardian present to sign the basic liability waiver before entry.

No, the scare actors will not make contact with any guests. And likewise, you are not permitted to touch any of the scare actors.
Yes however, we do not recommend any more than 6 guests per a 5-minute check-in timeslot. For the enjoyment of the entire group, we suggest breaking up the group into smaller sections in back-to-back timeslots.
No, as long as you have them readily available on your phone to scan, no need to print! Make sure to charge up your phones, especially if spending the day taking lots of selfies around Salem!
The entrance to the Haunt specifically in season, when purchasing the full scare actor experience, will be in the back of the building. Signs will be directing you to turn on to Barton Square from Essex Street. Check-in at the ticket booth.
